On November 15, 2024, Bangkok Synthetics Co., Ltd. (BST), in collaboration with the Map Ta Phut Industrial Group, participated in the "22nd Annual Marine and Coastal Resource Restoration Project in Rayong Province." The activity, held at the Nong Faep Small-Scale Fisheries Community Enterprise, aimed to replenish marine life and preserve coastal resources. Participating companies included Star Petroleum Refining Public Company Limited, BLCP Power Plant, GHECO-One Company Limited, SCG Chemicals Public Company Limited, PTT Group, AGC Vinythai Public Company Limited, and Covestro (Thailand) Company Limited. Government agencies such as the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), the Department of Fisheries, and the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources also supported the initiative.
The event aimed to increase the population of aquatic species, contributing to the conservation of the fishing profession and enhancing the income of local fishery groups. It also sought to instill a sustainable ecological mindset among the public and stakeholders. The ceremony was inaugurated by Mr. Tawil Potibuatong, Mayor of Map Ta Phut Municipality.
During the event, a total of 3,000,919 aquatic species were released, including 320 breeding blue crabs, 3,000,000 blue crab larvae, 99 sweet snails, and 500 Asian sea bass.
This initiative reflects a shared commitment to environmental conservation and fostering strong relationships between the government, private sector, and local communities.
