On September 22, 2024, Bangkok Synthetics Co., Ltd. (BST), through its "Rak Pa Rak Khao" (Forest and Mountain Conservation) Club, organized a water retention weir-building activity at Ban Map Chan community, Klaeng Subdistrict, Mueang District, Rayong Province. Khun Natthaphon Songsiri, Advisor to the "Rak Pa Rak Khao" Club, opened the event, while Khun Wandee Intharaprom, the village head of Klaeng, welcomed participants and explained the benefits and importance of constructing water retention weirs. A total of 40 people participated in the activity.
The "Rak Pa Rak Khao" Club successfully handed over 17 completed water retention weirs to the Ban Map Chan community to benefit both the local forest and residents. This initiative also aimed to promote environmental conservation awareness, aligning with BST's ESG framework for sustainable development, which seeks to create positive impacts in the areas of environment, society, and transparent governance.
